Have you tried the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series? It starts out very good but gets a bit over the top mid way through the series - I'll still probably keep reading them to see what happens next. Another one that is based on the history of Vlad the Impaler is The Historian - that was a mighty fine read too. You’d better slow down you might burn out your kindle. ;)
