My daughter just sent us a text, Michael Jackson died…apparent heart attack and was rushed to the hospital.
NOTE: maybe he’s not dead, maybe just in a coma! No, really, he has passed away….

I wasn’t a huge fan of his, not sure why I feel a loss, or sort of sad. Maybe just because he was such an icon when I was growing up, a teen in the 80’s.
Thriller made the most memerable impression. It came out when my sister was just a few years old. She loved to watch the video (you know, when MTV was new and actually played music videos all the time). But she’d leave the room until the little “movie” at the beginning was over. When it was done, I’d call for her to come back in and we’d watch and sing… never did dance with it though.. we just couldn’t compete with that dancing, lol.
He appeared to be in bad shape, mentally, physically and financially. Ah, well.. sad news.
