Right Brain or Left Brain
- by Judi on Mar 7, 2008
I was reading a post on the forum at Entrecard (I’m only slightly addicted, entrecard and vicodin, my vices… ) and I followed the poster (I liked her card, it was pretty).. it was The Transparent Hypnotist and her first post had a link in it to The Unwinding Path..
I have never seen this, so I’m posting it here, but wanted to give credit to where (and how) I found it.
That said.. Do you use your Right Brain more, or you Left Brain?

Picture is hosted here, but linked to the post I found it from.
(quote)Depending on how you view this animation, if you see her turning clockwise then at this moment your right brain is in full swing. Conversely if she is going counter clockwise, you are in a left-brain mode. Now see if you can change modes and have her go the opposite direction. It is doable. If you find it difficult, come back to this image at another time and notice which direction she revolves.
Here is the run down, so you can in what ways your mind is functioning at the moment:

I saw her first going counter-clockwise.. I just couldn’t imagine she went any other direction. My husband only sees her at clockwise (which we both know is NOT him).. In the middle of watching her turn counter-clockwise..she started going clockwise.. wow~!
What do you see and does it match your personality? Also.. come back again, later, and see if it changes, or if you can make it change while you watch.

Pretty interesting pic. I’m left brained it seems, but I was also able to shift to right as well.

Very freaky!!! I’ll have to try it again when I’m not so tired and see if there are different results….

I am thrilled that you enjoyed this little experiment in consciousness. Huge thanks for the compliments, by the way.

Wow, I am right brained which is definitely me. I could not see it the other way which explains some of my ‘logic issues’ from time to time. Good post! I found a lot of good info about my ‘personality’ from doing the IQ test at Tickle.com - you have to take it with a grain of salt but it is surprisingly quite telling! Where is your soap BTW?

Wow, fascinating. I’ve never seen this one before. I immediately was in left brain mode, seeing her spin counter-clockwise. I actually couldn’t believe I would see the opposite, but sure enough I was able to switch modes. After analyzing it even further, I noticed I was able to force myself to switch what I was seeing. If I stared at her head, I would see her spin counter-clockwise. If I stared at her feet, I would be able to see her spin clockwise. Awesome!! Now I’m dizzy. DOH! Which mode is that? hehe.. Must be my right side. Thanks for the great post!

I did this a couple months back and apparently I’m right-brained. I’ve read somewhere that some people can control the direction of the spin. Me? If I stare at her too long, I get dizzy!

I guess I am right brain. I thought I’d get a glimpse of a counter clockwise movement before losing it so my left brain was “trying” to butt in but couldn’t, lol. Unless I’m just tired and seeing things:)

This looks like a load of BS!
There is no-ways an animation can appear to move differently to different people. I don’t believe that brain side ‘dominance’ would affect what your eyes see or perceive in such a prominent way. That being said - it does change direction seemingly randomly.
I think that ALL of you shouldn’t believe everything you read!
