Here are my Favorite WordPress Plugins:
Add Your Own Headers – added 7/11/07 – This Plugin allows you to easily add your own headers to each individual entry.
Ad Rotator – I was a little hesitant to activate this one. There isn’t a text file included in the download with install or configuration information.. rather you need to visit the plugins creator’s website to learn the specifics. I wanted an ad rotator that would display the direct link to a site, rather than a redirect link from an “ad program”. Once set up, this works like a charm! Really, it was a piece of cake. ;)
Akismet – An anti-spam program. Comes pre-installed in the WordPress 2 + plugins. Easy to use and very helpful.
aLinks – added 7/11/07 – A WordPress Plugin which allows you to link words throughout your blog posts.
Custom Contact – Creates a custom email form, with easy to create and edit fields.
Dashboard Editor – added 7/11/07 – Customize the Dashboard… nice.
DoFollow – With the WordPress 2, there is an automatic “nofollow” following all outbound links in the comments. I prefer links to be followed. This plugin changes it to allow it.
Jerome’s Keywords – I just love this plugin, however Jerome seems to have stopped upgrading it. Instead, check out the Simple Tagging Plugin. Easy theme integration, easy tag cloud. As the name says, it’s simple.
Subscribe2 – A plugin which sends emails to subscribers whenever this is a new post. Doesn’t send the post, but just a link to the recent post. Easy to unsubscribe. Also allows the option to registered readers to subscribe to specific categories. Very nice feature. (note: I still have this activated, but I am not actively using the sign-up form. It may be just me, but I can’t figure out an easy way for people to unsubscribe once they’ve registered with the site. No big deal though. I’m currently using http://ymlp.com for my newsletter – doesn’t give automatic updates, but that’s ok too.)
SRG Clean Archives – I didn’t want my archives in my sidebar, but I wanted them easily viewable. This did exactly what I wanted. I now have an “Archive” link (that I added) to my sidebar directing to my Archives page.
EmailShroud – Simple plugin. Codes any displayed email addresses so email harvesters can’t grab them up.
Google Sitemaps Generator Plugin – Automatically creates a sitemap to submit to google sitemaps. When you make a new post, it automatically pings google.
WP-Footnotes – added 7/11/07 – Easily add footnotes to posts ((Like this!))
Fuzzy Recent Comments ((Fuzzy Comments is still an active plugin in my admin, however I am not currently using it))- This plugin (they call it a widget and works also in conjunction with semiologic – a plugin that allows WordPress to work more like a content manager.) allows for recent comments to be added to your sidebar. Lots of other good stuff here – this is just the only one I currently use. You’ll find ‘recent posts’, ‘recent updates’ and more.
I love plugins. With WordPress, there hasn’t been anything I wanted to do, that I was unable to accomplish. So many great people work on WordPress and wordpress plugins. “kudos!”

I thought you said you preferred dofollow…

All my links are followed. I currently use a plugin called “No Follow Free” which removes the nofollow tag in the links. Here are my current plugins – which, btw, stays up-to-date using another handy dandy plugin called WP-PluginsUsed by Lester Chan.
Thanks for your quick response and for letting me know about Lester Chans plugin.
However if I look at your source code I do not see dofollow comment links.
KaSyah above my comment looks like this:

my comment looks like this:
Dofollow
Your response to my comment looks like this:

I stumbled on your blog while looking around for the best set of plugins to get nofollow comments working on my own blog.
Thanks

damn – as soon as I published that I realised copy pasting the source was not going to work – here is an example without the tags
href=’http://www.mommamuse.com’ rel=’external nofollow’ class=’url’>Judi
All links are nofollow.

Dofollow – I was able to see what you were talking about in the email notification. The plugin I use has a page on the wp dashboard to allow you to change settings. Apparently, when I upgraded the last time, it reset my values – so I’ve fiddled with them. It appears the author link doesn’t change, but the links within the comment (like the last blog post) are followed.
Most importantly to me are any links I publish in a written post… I want (most of) those to be followed… When I originally added a dofollow plugin, the point was I didn’t want to have to edit every link I published to remove the nofollow since wordpress automatically added that into their code.
Cheers for the update – I usually call myself the Joomla Template Bear :) I’m not sure, I must have entered Dofollow in the name field without thinking.
Have installed dofollow on my blog also.
Nice meeting you.

Personally, i have been using akismet and dofollow plugins for a long time. If your blog is dofollow, akismet is unreplaseble because you get so many spammy comments.
