According to ScienCentralNews, Arsenic Chicken:
“Small amounts of the poison arsenic are commonly added to chicken feed as an approved supplement that controls intestinal parasites.”
In my local paper, Dayton Daily News, I found an article published this past weekend regarding arsenic in chicken. Having done a study of several fast food restaurants serving fried chicken, 3/4 contained arsenic, while organic or Tyson was only 1/4.Â
Ok.. I didn’t know there was arsenic in our chicken. Apparently added to the feed the chickens eat, to kill parasites. However, arsenic is a known cancer-causing agent.Â
Arsenic is also in drinking water, seafood and until 2003 was used in pressure treating wood that is commonly used for decks and childrens playsets.Â
