Beer Thief

We typically leave our garage door open when it’s nice.. we use it as our entry/exit door, our friends use it, etc. Sadly, no more.

Last night, we discovered a beer was missing. It was the only beer in the fridge (we are not drinkers) and had been there forever and a day. But something we always noticed.

Sometime yesterday evening, we are assuming after dark, it ‘disappeared’. Bob’s first thought was that Cassie (our 14 – going on 20 year old) took it to use for a candle holder.. My first thought was maybe she took it to drink. Not too far out of the realm of possibility, right?

After talking to both her and Emily, we are convinced neither of them had any interest in the beer or the bottle.

We live in a really nice area. We are figuring it was a kid on spring break, saw the garage door open and opted to look for a beer. There are 4 pocket bikes, a mini chopper, kart and various other fun stuff… not to mention the tools out there.

I do think we are going to call the police and file a report though. Just in the off chance that other stuff is going on in the neighborhood.

This is our second incident… last summer, I had my van broke in to (guess it was more like invaded, as it wasn’t locked) and money taken out of the ashtray. Needless to say, I don’t keep money in my car any more and I always lock it.
